In the February 4, 2022 issue of the Yellow Springs News there was an article about the start of the long-awaited fiber pilot, written by Jessica Thomas, whom I don’t know. The village manager, Josué Salmerón, indicated that “We will be sending out letters inviting residents to sign up in the coming weeks.” The pilot covers mostly the center part of the village, perhaps 400 locations, of which 250 will be able to join the pilot. There will be 2 speeds, 300Mb and 1,000Mb (1 Gb) and the cost for the pilot (and perhaps afterwards) will be $45 and $65 per month respectively.
